Day Seventy-eight: Nicole's 30 minute recovery ride 2.24.16
Its sad that Nicole is no longer a Peloton instructor. Her rides are almost emotionally choreographed as much as they are choreographed to intervals.
Even though this was a recovery ride there were some intervals where we pushed it a great deal. That's not unusual. What was unusual is the way that Nicole handled the recovery. I was encouraged to sit down after a standing climb and feel my heart rate surge, feel the heat in my legs, feel the power latent in my body. There is a mindfulness to Nicole approach. It isn't just about output. It's about celebrating what you can do, being in your body in its capacity.
