Day Eleven: Steve Little's 45 Endurance 5.11.17
You know those morning where you don't want to get up? There's nothing wrong exactly. You feel fine, you aren't sick, you got enough sleep, you just aren't jazzed about what's on the other side of the alarm. Today was that kind of morning.
Luckily for me there were two things that I had to focus on: one, the Facebook group #5:15 tribe had decided on a ride already and they were clipping in as I was laying in bed... certainly, they would NOTICE if I wasn't there, right? and two, it was an endurance ride. I like to push myself and hit crazy out-of-breath crescendos with the best of them, but an endurance ride, with its holding back and staying comfortable, is the closest you are going to get to staying in bed anyway.
Coach Little was his normal bro-self: how much time do we have left? you should know that. I liked the structure of this workout though-- how there were big time blocks (8-9 minutes) and we increased in cadence by 5RPM, and nudged the resistance down for each one. It was a very subtle workout that dialed in how tiny number changes affect your heart rate.
