Hi.

Welcome to my streak.  One hundred days of straight Peloton.

Day Twenty: Denis' 45 min 90s Pop Ride 8.26.17

Day Twenty: Denis' 45 min 90s Pop Ride 8.26.17

My first class with Denis!  I really loved it.  I was two minutes late signing in--it was a live ride!  I pulled up the leaderboard and was like... WhAAat?  How are all of these folks already 40-50 points in?!

With all of the metrics of Peloton it is important to remember, every ride is a win.  It doesn't matter how much you do, how hard you go, for how long.  Somedays you will show up and feel like killing it.  Somedays, you need to just spin it out and feel the groove.

Couple of high points about this ride for me.  Denis really loved these songs, he regularly had little anecdotes about seeing some of these artists in concert--his teenage self versus who he is now--but it never felt like it became about him instead of the workout.  These were tiny asides that added personality to the ride.

Special love:  The final Pearl Jam song when he said, every time Eddie says E-VEN FlOOow we are going to push it.  I mean, isn't that what I always did when I was in my late teens playing this on my cassette deck in my Chevy Nova?

Other note:  Denis does an arm interval better than you.  His instructions were about mindfulness of certain movements.   His cues were perfect.  When he said, let's hit the lats from four different angles, I was on board with Denis!  Welcome to the Peloton-fam!
