It was great to see HMC and DJ JM up there on a Sunday evening having a good time.  Sunday evenings are a time for chores for me-- meal prep for the week, laundry, trying to set my week up for success.  These two brought and energy to the room that was more Friday Happy Hour than Sunday Count-down.  

This was also the was a nice mix of speed intervals and climbs... lots of short intervals maybe 20-30 seconds allowed me to go all out.  

As I start to approach the halfway point of this project, I'm noticing some strength gains on the bike.  I'm able to push more resistance, more consistently, I'm able to maintain higher cadences while standing up.  I'm six weeks in.  This makes sense to me as I've read a lot about how it takes about 6 weeks to see muscular gains.  Glad I wasn't looking for it though, because isn't 6 weeks a long time to wait for a pot to boil!?  Better just to focus on having a good time and be surprised once it sneaks up on you.
