Day Twenty-seven: Matt Wilper's 60 PowerZone Endurance Ride 4.15.17
This kind of ride reminds me of Ironman training. Just tucking in and going long for the full 60 minutes. Matt mixed it up with lots of intervals that alternated between power zones two and three, as well as some cadence switches, but it was basically one long thirty minute effort and several five minute efforts after a fifteen minute endurance level warm-up.
The high cadence, zone four effort for the final five minutes set my legs on fire.
A great workout. Hopefully it set me up for some threshold, high intensity efforts tomorrow.
It's slightly chilly in New York. Schools open on Tuesday or Wednesday. People are threatening pumpkin-spice-everything. Summer's over folks. Time to set goals for the fall!
