Day Twenty-eight: Christine's 20 min HIIT ride

You might think that a 20 minute class would be easy, but when sometimes 20 minutes allows you to unleash your gasping for breath-max effort because you know... it is only 20 minutes... there is only 4 intervals.   

This class had four one minute max effort intervals.  I was gasping for breath at each one.  I wouldn't suggest doing this ride unless you rested or did an endurance effort class yesterday.  It was hard, hard, hard.  It took my hear rate a while to back down too.  I added on a cool down class and a stretch because, hey... its the weekend!  I have time!

I love that the peloton is getting me to think that a cool down ride and a beyond the ride stretch class is a treat.  Far better than how I usually think of treats (HeLL-O cookies-brownies-ice-crean... how have I not thought of you for the last hour?) .
